We’ve found a terrific 3,000 sq.ft. building to rent. It’s right on Main St. in Casey and has a lighted sign facing the street, a parking lot, large foyer, classroom space and 1,700 sq.ft of sanctuary space. We’re very excited about this building!
thechurchofcasey will be committed to 40 days of fasting, 20 minutes a day of prayer & 20 minutes a day of Bible reading for a total of 40 minutes each day in devotion time. we believe relationship with Jesus is developed and perfected by the power of prayer and the Word.
a preaching church // that means we will believe, teach and live whatever the Bible says. we will not approach the scriptures with preconceived notions and personal preferences. when our lives conflict with scripture it is our lives, not scripture, that must change. we will simply open the book and do what it says, believing that His words are spirit and life.
an organic church // that means we will aim to build a natural and spirit-driven community of believers. we will fight the tendency, latent in every human endeavor, to institutionalize, stagnate & fade. we want the presence of God among us to be our driving force. we will make following His plan our only plan. we are not interested in building a sacred corporation. we are interested in building a sacred community.
a sending church // that means we will aim to build the best church we can in casey. not for the sake of providing ourselves a kingdom, but for the sake of His kingdom. we want to spread out, not up. we want the influence of thechurchofcasey to not be limited to casey but to spread into other cities in our region that are in need of spiritual revival.
a worshiping church // that means we want to build the strongest, most authentic church we can in casey. a gathering of believers that pleases God, worships with passion and influences our community. a church that makes disciples and changes lives. a church that fulfills the great commission with love and authenticity. a church that values relationship and not religiosity. a church that views worship, not as something we do on sunday, but how we live everyday.
a missional church // that means we will serve others and aim to make Jesus famous, not just with our faith but, through our works as well. we will serve our community and the people in it, not because we believe it will attract them to our church, but in the hopes that it will attract them to our Christ.
